Dr. Copeland enjoys the relationships with all of his patients. His warm
personality and gentle touch quickly earn the confidence and trust of even his
younger patients, as you see here.
Dr.
Copeland received a B.A. from LaSalle College in Philadelphia and B.S. and O.D.
degrees from the Illinois College of
Optometry. He serves as a clinical Preceptor for the Pennsylvania College of
Optometry where he trains future Optometrists. He is nationally board certified
in the treatment and management of ocular disease. He enjoys primary eye care,
with special interest in contact lenses and learning-related vision problems. He
prescribes treatment programs for individuals with strabismus (turned eyes) and
amblyopia (lazy eyes).
Dr.
Copeland is recognized for his expertise in prescribing complex contact lens
designs. He is one of the only Optometrists in Berks County who prescribes
bifocal and therapeutic contact lenses. He has extensive training and clinical
experience in the care of the laser refractive surgery patient (LASIK), and has
co-managed laser vision correction patients since 1994. Dr. Copeland is a
well-respected lecturer who addresses teachers and PTA groups regularly. He is
dedicated to research, education and excellence in clinical care.
