Dr.
Burkhart earned a B.S. in biology from Albright College in
Reading and a B.S. in Visual Science and O.D. degree from
the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.
He is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board
of Optometry.
Dr.
Burkhart enjoys primary eye care practice, including the
diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. He is a member of
the American Optometric Association and the Pennsylvania
Optometric Association. He serves our community as an active
scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 20 in Myerstown.
Dr. Burkhart is a
VISION USA™
eye doctor who provides free eye care to the working poor
who are screened and referred by the Salvation Army.
He
is a member of the Williamson Masonic Lodge #307. Dr.
Burkhart is dedicated to research, education and excellence
in clinical care.
Dr.
Burkhart founded Myerstown Family Eyecare in 2000 and, in
December, 2011, merged with Wyomissing Optometric Center.
Dr. Burkhart continues to serve Myerstown and the
surrounding communities with expanded technology and
services.
He is
available 24/7 for medical eye emergencies.
